Obsession and enthusiasm (but not addiction, there is a difference) are effects that plague the majority of us through extended contact with a particular subject. Myself included - photography besides, my obsession with cars spawns from as soon as I could talk, when I would identify every car I came across, much to the delight of my parents Iā€™m sure. As a result, learning about what topics other people fantasise in a similar way to me with cars fascinates me as they are often incredibly niche and offer masses of information to be learned.

One Track Mind is an exploration of the concept of enthusiasm, focusing in on a group of volunteers at a small railway near Walsall. Contrasting to the intense nature of both the shared enthusiasm between everyone involved as well as railway operations, it creates a quiet narrative about how one can find their mind completely taken over by a particular subject. An emotive tale of passion, dedication and friendship.

With enormous thanks to Barry Bull.
